Raipur / a notice was issued by the Health Department to 212 MBBS contracted medical officers to take charge within five days at their place of posting as the last opportunity before taking any action against them. Out of 212 contractual medical officers, 123 have joined their respective assignments in accordance with the notice, while the remaining 89 are still absent. The state government will now take action against these doctors who have not joined their posting and will recover the entire amount of the bond against the MBBS contractual medical officers as per the rules.
Chhattisgarh Medical, Dental, and Physiotherapy (Physiotherapy) Graduate Admission will be done according to the rules of the Medical Education Department of the state government. Under this rule, action will be taken to recover the entire amount of the bond as arrears of land revenue against the absentee doctors who do not comply with the conditions of the bond. Permanent registration of MBBS graduate qualification in the State Medical Council will be issued only on the basis of the last degree awarded to the candidate. The candidate for the degree will have to submit a no-objection certificate to the Dean of their college, on whose recommendation the final degree will be awarded by the University. A letter has been written by the Health Department to the Director of the Medical Education Department, the Registrar of the Medical Council, and the Dean of Ayush University Uparwara, Naya Raipur for taking action in this regard. Recovery proceedings are under process against the contractual medical officers who do not comply with the terms of the bond.
